Las Vegas Golden Knights Expansion Draft Project

My undergraduate capstone project was to discover mathematical modeling in a contemporary manner. As a hockey fan, I chose to model the expansion draft using linear optimization. While the projected team was far off from reality, this project exposed me to R, web-scraping and implementing a mathematical model in a real world setting.

Olympics Medals Data Visualization

The goal of this project was to use a Olympics medal dataset to create a “compelling data story”. I thought it would be interesting to see how dominant countries were in placing the top 5, as opposed to just placing. There was an article discussing the depth and funding of countries, so I wanted to see if countries were close to getting a medal.

Simplex Model

This was a project done for my graduate level course of Linear Optimization. The goal of the project was to implement two algorithms from linear optimization using any programming language.

SLIAR Model

During my undergraduate degree, I took a graduate level mathematical modeling course. The final project was to extend the classic SIR model used for diseases, to expand to include more classes. The analysis was done in R.
